Inspired by the architecture of Glasgow and created to celebrate the city's 850th anniversary, this beautiful quatrefoil has been handcarved in wax then cast in solid Sterling silver.
The quatrefoil is suspended in the centre of a belcher chain, fastening with a handcrafted clasp. The organic surface texture sparkles as it moves and reflects the light.
Quatrefoils are decorative elements consisting of four partially overlapping circles. Quatrefoil translates to four leaf - suggesting four-leaved clover, a symbol of good luck. The quatrefoil also features in my maker's mark, stamped by Edinburgh Assay Office on all my hallmarked pieces.
A wee celebration of Glasgow to wear and treasure.
